  • To promote speleology among children and youth as a multidisciplinary field that integrates science, culture, sports, environmental awareness, and heritage preservation.

  • To foster international cooperation among speleologists, educators, and institutions dedicated to educating children and adolescents in caves, karst, and related environments.

  • To develop and disseminate educational resources, pedagogical strategies, and didactic tools to introduce speleological knowledge and values to young people in formal and non-formal settings.

  • To encourage awareness and responsibility in the protection and sustainable use of the world’s speleological and karst heritage, and to cultivate ethical behaviour and respect for nature from an early age.

  • To support capacity building by organising workshops, seminars, and training for teachers, instructors, and youth leaders engaged in speleological education.

  • To stimulate curiosity and engagement through activities that connect young people with the underground world in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring way.

  • To document and share successful experiences and educational models, contributing to the advancement of speleological education globally and reinforcing UIS’s mission to promote all aspects of speleology.
